Paying due respect to confidentiality the hypothetical company reflects typical responses we have received from companies in the £1-3m turnover region and not the answers of any one company, the financial figures are similarly generated.

The Business Mirror has been extensively trialled on a regional basis before full launch. The response from businesses and advisors has been excellent.
The response by users has been uniformly positive. We have found owners want to see how their company performs. The complete process takes between 45 and 90 minutes depending how readily to hand the financial information is; many respondents come back to that section later having completed the bulk of The Business Mirror.
The clarity of the reports and view of the business that they present give owners and directors an immediate analysis and benchmark of the business without having to digest and translate reams of management speak. The reports continue to act as a reference point for progress in the coming months.
The information and direction given in the report for one company caused the bank imposed advisor to the company to admit that the Business Mirror process and reports achieved more in three days than he had for the company in over six months. The company owner was able to take the agenda back into his own hands and use cost effective support and advice as and when he needed it. The bank representative was reduced to a monitoring role until the bank was satisfied that the company was back in good health. The company saved money in fees and speeded its return to full health.
